The end of summer always brings a change of pace. We gradually return to our routines, cooler days, and quieter plans. But while our minds adjust, our hair often takes a little longer… and lets us know.
If you notice that your hair looks duller, feels brittle, is shedding, or has lost its shape, you’re not alone. The sun, chlorine, salt, and excessive heat take their toll. That’s why now is the perfect time to give your hair the care it needs and get it ready for fall.
What happens to your hair after summer?
Sun damage
Prolonged sun exposure can dehydrate your hair, weaken the cuticle, and alter its color. Even with plant-based dyes—which offer much more protection than chemical dyes—it’s important to protect your hair from the sun’s rays to maintain its natural shine and vibrant highlights.
Damage from salt and chlorine
Sea salt and pool chlorine disrupt the scalp’s natural balance and dry out the hair fiber, leaving it porous and rough.
Heat styling
More frequent use of hair dryers and straighteners, or direct exposure to the sun without protection, leads to a loss of moisture and shine.
Seasonal shedding With the arrival of fall, many people notice increased hair shedding. It’s a natural process, but it can become more pronounced if the scalp is sensitive or weakened.
How can you restore your hair?
1. Hydration: bring back its softness.
After so much exposure, your hair needs moisture and softness.
Choose silicone-free conditioners with plant-based ingredients that nourish and balance from the roots.
We recommend:
Rosemary & Bhringraj Conditioner – Deep nourishment and strength for dry or damaged hair.
Shikakai & Onion Conditioner – Lighter, ideal for fine or oily hair that needs softness without being weighed down.
2. Strengthening: care for your hair from the roots
If you notice more shedding, it’s important to address it at the source. Strengthening the roots, stimulating circulation, and restoring balance to the scalp are key.
We recommend:
Rosemary & Bhringraj Shampoo – Cleanses, stimulates growth, and strengthens from the roots.
Roots Oil – Massaged into the scalp (ideally left on overnight), it deeply nourishes with bhringraj, gotu kola, amla, and neem.
Intensive treatment:
Make a natural hair mask with: 50 g of Amla, 50 g of Bhringraj and 2 teaspoons of Roots Oil.
How to apply: Apply as a mask from the roots and leave on for 1 hour. Use weekly for the first month, then every 15 days, and afterward once a month to maintain the results.
3. Nourishment and shine: bring your hair back to life
Hair needs more than just color… it needs life.
And when it’s damaged, restoring its shine makes the biggest difference (and feels wonderful).
We recommend:
Volume & Vitality Hair Mask – A powerful plant-based blend that adds body, strength, and shine to weakened or lifeless hair.
Argan Oil – Ideal for mid-lengths and ends. Deeply nourishes and leaves a luminous finish.
