Our true story
Hi, I’m Tina Godhwani. That unusual surname, which you probably find hard to pronounce, is of Indian origin. I was born and raised in Málaga, but my parents are from Pune and Jaipur, India, and they immigrated to Spain in the 70s.
When I was young in Torremolinos, Malaga, there weren't many international children. Some would make fun of my skin color, the smell of spices on my food, the oil in my hair, the henna on my hands, and the other ‘weird’ rituals I followed. Like many immigrant children, I wanted nothing more than to belong. That is why I grew up doing everything possible to hide my Indian culture from others.
It didn’t help that my mother was a fan of natural medicine, mainly Ayurveda. She has several books the size of the Bible in which she looked up home remedies for any symptom. At home, we ate Satvic food, started our days with mantras, and oiled our hair every week. To me, this is normal, so when my daughters were born, I followed the same rituals I learned from my mother, but all within the 4 walls of my house.
Everything changed for me when my second daughter, Adya, was born. At 6 months old, we discovered she was allergic to milk, eggs, nuts, and kiwi. And, of course, this resulted in atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and many other skin conditions that I can't even pronounce anymore. I spent at least one afternoon each week in the dermatology clinic's waiting room, hoping to find a solution to my daughter's discomfort.
There, I met many others like my Adya; some older, some young, but what we all had in common was the search for solutions (without side effects) that would work for us in the long term. The quick fix that corticosteroids provided didn't solve our problems in the long run. We built a community there, and seeing the desperation of these people, my mother, who sometimes accompanied me to these appointments, would share her home remedies and their benefits. Interestingly, during a low point, another Spanish woman told me that she was seeing positive results with the Ayurvedic treatment my mother had suggested to her.
I suppose the rest of the story is obvious. My daughter is 3 years old now, she has radiant and healthy skin, long, strong hair, and follows a 100% natural and Ayurvedic routine.
I started Real Earth Stories with the desire to share this time-honored ancestral wisdom. I decided to embrace all the richness that my Indian roots bring me, to soak up Ayurvedic knowledge, and to create a community to help others like me who are looking for natural solutions to age-old problems.

What We Believe
If you've made it this far, it's because you're truly interested in our story.
That's why, instead of telling you about our mission, vision, and values, we're going to tell you honestly and from the heart why we do what we do and what our honest way of working is like.
Your well-being is our priority, and we know that being well means very different things for each person. We also know that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. But there is someone who has them all: Mother Nature.
She inspires us and offers us all her properties and ingredients so that we can bring them to you, following the principles of Ayurveda and bio-individuality. In doing so, we help you achieve the harmony between body and mind that you are seeking. And, of course, most importantly: we do it while respecting the environment.
Did you know that we source all our products from nature and not from a laboratory, and that we acquire them sustainably? Now you know.
And did you know that all our products have a story behind them, whether it's supporting local communities or empowering women's cooperatives, since working ethically is our top priority? Now you know that too.
The thing is, when there's an option that respects our planet and protects it, we take it without a second thought. That's why, whenever possible, we choose recyclable packaging options in an attempt to minimize the amount of plastic waste generated by the beauty industry.
